Seems like I have always been fiddling with fiber. As a young child I would walk with my Grandmother to the Ben Franklin 5 and 10 in Lindsay, Ok. My grandmother, Lilly Christina, crocheted and tatted and although I cannot say I was a very good student, she really instilled a love of fiber in me. Actually it is more like a fiber addiction. My grandmother also passed along a trait that can be a problem. She would buy every new crochet pattern book that came in at our local Ben Franklin. I buy fleece the same way my grandmother bought crochet books—way too many. To process these fibers I bought a Patrick Green Elsacard and begin to produce heaps of fiber to spin-way too much. I started to sell it to others who may not have as much time for the preparation part.

I love the transformation from raw fiber to luxurious yarn. There is a great connecting thread from antique items of our past and the fiber and yarn of yesterday and tomorrow. I love the textures and colors. What more fun can you have than to fiddle with fiber?
